Dirge for the Dead Students

"Dirge for the Dead Students" at Kent State University has been set to music and is as compelling a manifesto as Zola's "J'Accuse!"

—Cornel Lengyel, Publisher

   Dragon's Teeth Press

I am overcome by the controlled crescendo (almost like Ravel's "Bolero") of "Dirge."  I'm proud that it will be a part of the May 4th Resource Center at Kent State.

—Paul Keane, former Program Coordinator

Kent State University Center for Peaceful Change

"Dirge for the Dead Students" is included in NOON/ AFTERNOON, a program of American poetry in song created by the composer Daniel Jahn and has been performed in New York, Boston, and Provincetown and aired over NPR.
